 Next Moving Forward Course


Starting 23 May 2019

(30th May, 6th and  13th June)

This free four-week programme examines some of the issues that may affect you. It aims to provide information, support and professional guidance on how to cope with and adjust to life after treatment. Topics covered may include: healthy eating, exercise, managing menopausal symptoms, lymphoedema, cancer fatigue, intimacy and relationships, and adjusting and adapting after a diagnosis of breast cancer.

The course is open to people who have had a breast cancer diagnosis within the last two years. You need to be able to attend all four sessions of the programme

 Penny Brohn Cancer Care

 ‘A living well’ course can help you to gain a sense of control and make positive changes. It has been designed to work alongside medical treatment and is open for patients diagnosed with any cancer and the people closest to them. For more information phone 08451232310 or email – or visit

After completing the course there will be an invitation to a Living Well Support Group Follow up day to meet with fellow participants and refresh what you have learnt.

Follow on Residential Courses

Penny Brohn also offers a two day residential course at their National Centre for people who have completed a Living Well course. These courses give you the opportunity to re-connect with their Bristol Whole Life Approach and get the maximum benefit. This support can help you find resources and inspiration to help you move forward.


Nutrition Day Courses  

These courses are for people who have already attended an Introduction Day or a Living Well with the Impact of Cancer course.

The courses are held at the National Centre near Bristol.

Well-being Day formally known as SCIP (Surviving Cancer Information Programme)

This programme is run  by the Isle of Wight NHS Trust Cancer Services Team at St Mary’s Hospital.  It is held one day each month. Patients will be invited to attend  at the end of treatment.

It includes diet and nutrition, financial advice, exercise information and psychological well-being. For more details contact your breast care nurse.

 Applegate Breast Cancer Support Group

Representatives from different organisations attend the Support Group so it is an excellent source of what is available and how to access them. Also members of the group have said they find out a great deal just listening to others and sharing.

Community Action
